Can't see the game ?

Internet Explorer 7 (or others) may have blocked the Java applet, with a warning along the top of the window about "active content".

Or, internet security programs like Norton might have blocked it, or shown a message about Java.

Always be careful allowing active content to run in your browser. This Java applet is just a simple game which I wrote myself. People seem to enjoy it and find it an effective way to waste many hours !

Fret-board Practice Game

Here's a Java applet I made a while back to give me something to do instead of working at a computer. It's a game that helps to hone your fret-board memory skills. I often find my self "deriving" notes on the fret-board, like "well I know that's a D, so this one must be C". This game is surprisingly effective in getting the notes to just stick without thinking about it.

Pick your tuning ... Press Go ... Press the right note for the green fretted position
2 points for Right, 1 point off for Wrong ...
