For some reason Perth and West Australia is a real finger-picking haven. Here are some of my favorite players.

Slide, dobro, funky stuff, fingerpicker and great singer...

Simon Nield
Intricate and delicate fingerstyle pieces. His CD Resonance is particularly special.

Desert Child
The boys from Broome, Guy Ghouse and Damian Watkiss. As an acoustic duo they pretty much cover every style under the sun. They're funny guys too.

Duo Lenz
Ruth and Richard Lenz, classical guitarist extraordinaires with particular specialty in Nineteenth Century music.

Milica Ilic
Evocative classical guitarist with a rich expressive style.

Donough O'Donovan
I rehearsed with Donovan for a Celtic show in Perth and was taken by his technical skills and understanding of Celtic music. Time to record an album Donough !
